Google into Bat for Apple
Notes:
- Google supports Apple in conflict with US government over iPhone hacking
- IPhone used by San Bernardino shooter
- Disagreement over iPhone decrypting could lead to future breaches
- Companies will only release data based on legal orders
- Apple rejects court orders over iPhone hacking
Summary:
Google supports Apple over recent conflict with the US
government. It has been revealed that the San Bernardino shooters were using an
iPhone. Apple disagrees with FBI in decrypting IPhone due to potential
violations and government surveillance in the future. Companies have been
informed that they are only allowed to expose data unless under legal orders.
Apple rejects the idea of uncovering iPhone data due to customer’s privacy.
Personal Reflection:
In my opinion, Apple holds the right not to release any data
relating to the shooting because of the customer’s rights and privacy. Since
Apple has built up a reputation for being the highest technology company
worldwide, this violation would shake the trust between the buyer and company
in the future. Due to this matter being a terrorism act, the company should
assist the FBI in their request to unlock the phone and retrieve the
information required.

Europe and former USSR, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia. Other regions have
reduced slightly like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Middle East and North

Teacher's log on to keep kids reading
Notes:
- Teachers embrace the use of technology
- Teachers should work on children's strengths and interests
- Encouraging all sorts of reading
- Parents should be reading to children at home
- Teachers should communicate with children on how to improve
Summary:
Teachers are embracing technology instead of encouraging children to improve on their reading and writing skills. Teachers need to focus on an individual’s reading interests. Parents can assist by reading at home books that their children enjoy. Teachers should alter the way they provide feedback to the students. They can be more creative for example creating a podcast which consists of strategies that students can follow to improve.
Personal Reflection:
In my opinion, teachers play a huge role in encouraging and challenging students to keep their interest in reading. Parents can also contribute by reading at home for their children beginning to nurture that skill at an early age. Nursery rhymes and bedtime stories are great examples to build up their child’s love for reading and vocabulary. But the main aspect of reading is not to push the child as they will develop that skill overtime.
